The Data Management Professionals
The Data Project specialises in designing, supporting and auditing all aspects of data management for businesses.
Robust and effective data managment is a core requirement for all businesses and since 25th May 2018 this obligation was further re-inforced through the GDPR. The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) expects all businesses operating in the UK to be compliant with DPA (2018) and to be able to demonstrate compliance.
The Data Project can help your business with its data management obligations. With experienced professionals, tried and tested structures and a tailored approach to each business' culture, our services are effective and affordable.
We are able to offer project work and retained support ranging from single points of focus in a department or small business, to full data audits and compliance support for umbrella organisations.
Outsourced DPO (Data Protection Officer). To help your business sustain a focus on compliance we offer a full DPO service where we act as your business' DPO. For businesses with a dedicated in-house DPO appointment, we are also able to offer our DPO Support Service to complement your DPO's activities with up to the minute news, updates from the ICO, and best practice industry applications.
Investor due diligence. With the intrinsic value of many businesses being based on the strength of its customer database, it is important for investors to have the confidence that the information was gained and maintained in accordance with applicable regulations, particularly GDPR. We offer a suite of services to the investor community.
Data Policies. We can create, review or amend any policies that involve data management for either internal or external audiences. These may include IT, Fair Usage, Data Management, Subject Access Requests, Data Retention, Data Erasure, Data Breach and others.
Processing Activity Records. To demonstrate compliance with regulatory bodies, there needs to be documentation of activity. The Data Project can work with your business to provide data processing activity records for all of your organisational data segments.
Technical Organisational Processes. We can review and advise on the development of data management architecture to optimise data collection, access management, processing, and storage as well as ongoing best practice data hygiene processes.
3rd Party Organisational Responsibilities. The DPA (2018) clearly stipulates responsibilities for all Data Controllers regarding the selection and enagement with Data Processors. The Data Project can assist your business in assessing agreements and position statements, evaluating the risk to your business, and managing controls and expectations from business partners.
Data Subject Rights. Whether this is for your own employees or your customers, we can guide you to ensure that you can respond to any requests from Data Subjects regarding their rights (Right to Access, Right to Erasure, Data Portability etc).
